Large art in gardens and artist’s bouquet in the outbuildings of the Castle
The arrival of art in the Gardens of the Château de Vullierens coincides with the marriage of the present-day lord and painter Dorianna Destenay. It was she who inspired and initiated the collection of sculptures, in particular following her meeting with Manuel Torres. Over the years, the collection has grown and more than seventy sculptures are presented in the Gardens and created by Swiss and international artists. Every year new pieces are to be discovered.
Some creations deserve further attention. That of a quiet place and protected from the elements. Every year, the Châtelain provides artists and visitors with a three-storey space that extends over three floors in the Château’s outbuildings for six weeks.
